If your a sports NUT like I am then you'll love the Sports Programming that XM has to offer! With XM's sports category they provide the most sports talk and live sports coverage in radio. The overall lineup features Major League Baseball , National Hockey League,Indy Racing League,college sports from the Atlantic Coast Conference, Pacific-10 Conference, Big Ten Conference and Big East Conference, PGA Tour, US Open Tennis, XM Deportivo including the 2006 FIFA World Cup, and is complemented by ESPN Radio,ESPN News,Fox Sports,and XM’s own XM Sports Nation (XMSN). ESPN Radio offers coverage of certain NBA play-by-play. XM also broadcast the 2007 college football Bowl Championship Series play-by-play.

At XM they are the Official Satellite Radio Network of Major League Baseball(“MLB”) and offer a full 24x7 MLB Home Plate channel(175), as well as play-by-play channels, and Spanish-language broadcasts. XM is the exclusive satellite radio network of the NHL beginning with the 2007-2008 season. In addition to providing live play-by-play coverage of more than 1,000 games per season, XM features Home Ice channel(204), a 24x7 hockey talk channel dedicated to providing an inside look at teams, players and the league.

XM'S coverage of the ACC, PAC-10, SEC, and Big Ten channels offer college football and basketball games. In February 2006, XM made an agreement with the Big East to provide coverage of men’s and women’s Basketball Championships as well as select regular season basketball and football games.

On August 28, 2006, XM launched XM Sports Nation (XMSN) channel (144), an XM-produced 24x7 sports news and talk channel dedicated to college sports, motorsports, fantasy sports and more. Programming on XMSN includes existing XM-produced series as well as popular content from Sporting News Radio. XM Sports Nation is an XM Original 24-hour sports channel. Featuring shows with Dan Patrick, Tony Kornheiser, James Carville, Coach K, Michael Waltrip, and Dale Earnhardt, Jr. Topics included are Sports Talk, College Football, College Basketball, and Racing which includes the Indy Racing on XM The Indy Racing League races(“IRL”) channel (145.

XM Deportivo, is a 24x7 Hispanic sports channel (147), which provided exclusive coverage of the 2006 FIFA World Cup.

XM also offers terrific coverage of the PGA Tour and Majors golf play-by-play and analysis on our PGA Tour on channel(146) Network channel,including 2006 Ryder Cup coverage.

Also when it comes on down the pipe don't forget about ESPN Radio channel(140)Sports news,information,and play-by-play from the worldwide leader in sports. ESPN Xtra (141)ESPN Xtra features three of ESPN Radio's premier talk programs: The Michael Kay Show, Kellerman and Kenny, and Galloway and Company from New York and Dallas. Additionally, ESPN Xtra airs Bill Simmons popular podcast The BS Report. ESPN Xtra will also produce content by ESPN exclusively for XM throughout the year. ETHEL XM Channel 47

You know that some things are just like a fine bottle of wine. And, Ethel has bloomed into a fancy, crisp, clean (well maybe not clean) but, COOL XM Channel. It is located in the ROCK Genre section on channel 47. If you've not listened in a while or not at all you should do your ears a favor and tune into the self proclaimed "NEW ALTERNATIVE IS WHAT WE KNOW" channel!

This bossy female is rocking on all cylinders! I think that this is Fred's wife and Lucy's best friend...or maybe somewhere in-between! HA! You see that the kind of self-proclaimed music that is played on Ethel has a new nice swing! The kind of Beat that has a neat cool dissertation with a mellow sophistication! Yes, they say it's a NEW alternative but I think it has a PULSE or maybe a Heartbeat with a cool PUR!

This is the only station that plays funky electric tunes like from groups like the Flobots with their song "Handlebars". I enjoy the change of pace and the upbeat tempo of Jack Johnsons "If I had Eyes"! Another great song is from The Bravery "Believe"!

Sometimes people only see what they want or feel what they can. Ethel is beyond that with a juicy {NO COMMERCIALS} latitude and attitude! The self proclamation "Let us introduce you to Ethel. We care about the music". Alternative is what we know... Red Hot Chili Peppers, The White Stripes, Foo Fighters, Green Day, Radiohead, Arcade Fire". And Oh buddy they have done it! Great NEW alternative is what it's all about!

I usually start my day with a good dose of Rick Lambert DJ in the morning and then most of the time I can catch the Mid Day DJ ERIK and finally I catch up with CANE in the afternoon. The thing about XM and Ethel channel 47 is you hardly hear a DJ but when you do they are Great! So take my advice, 2une in 2 Ethel for some great PLOP PLOP NEW Alternative 2unes!
