SIRIUS (((XM))) INTRODUCES DUAL PLATFORM SATELLITE RADIO RECEIVER
MiRGE™ Interoperable Satellite Radio
You can now get the best of both worlds as Sirius XM Radio has introduced MiRGE, the first inter-operable satellite radio that will broadcast programming from the XM and Sirius platforms.
The new receiver was just made available for those who want to enjoy both services from Sirius and XM on one radio.
"MiRGE is the first interoperable radio designed to receive 100 percent of Sirius' and XM's programming and is a major advancement in satellite radio technology," said Jim Meyer, the company's president of operations and sales. "SIRIUS XM Radio delivers more value than ever – enabling subscribers to hear everything available without the need to buy multiple radios and pay two monthly subscriptions."
The MiRGE will be able to display a real-time programming guide along with the current channel and three other channels at the same time. A time-shift feature will allow users to pause, rewind and replay up to 60 minutes of live programming.
The MiRGE allows you to easily switch between SIRIUS and XM at the touch of a button. You can personalize your listening experience on the MiRGE by viewing the information you want, the way you want, on the large, full-color display. The large Split-screen display allows you to view up to four channels simultaneously.
One of my favorite features is the pause, rewind and replay up to 60 minutes of live programming. The easy to use pre-set buttons on the bottom of the unit allows you to store up to 20 of your favorite channels (10 SIRIUS and 10 XM).
One of the vast improvements is the easy-to-Use, 5-way control knob - for rapid channel scrolling. Unlike the many predecessor's control knob this one really works great. Another one of my favorites is the Real-time onscreen tickers that track the latest sports scores or stocks while listening to SIRIUS or XM programming
